Corporate Memberships Now Available

We are pleased to announce that NAPSI are now offering corporate membership to snagging companies.

This membership will consist of 2 components:

The Company:

  • The company will register for corporate membership and provide information on for each of their employed and or freelance inspectors.

  • The corporate entity must hold suitable professional indemnity insurance.

  • The company will be entitled to display the NAPSI logo on their website and corporate stationery.

  • When posting on social media, the company can indicate they are members of NAPSI, but cannot indicate that they represent NAPSI

Inspectors: (Employed and Freelance)

  • Each inspector will register, via the corporate membership route.

  • Registered Inspectors can display the NAPSI logo onto their reports.

  • Inspectors will have access to NAPSI resources and the WhatsApp chat group.

Benefits to Corporate Members

Streamlined Membership:

Organisations can manage their membership through a single annual corporate fee. This removes the need for each surveyor to maintain an individual membership, reducing paperwork and associated fees, however there will still be an application form and 2 sample reports required for each inspector for the initial application.

Collective Branding:

The corporate entity can prominently display NAPSI membership across its website and documentation, demonstrating commitment to high standards and professional integrity.

Professional Development & Training:

Employees/freelancers (as Associate Members) gain access to NAPSI’s events, training sessions, and resources, facilitating continuous professional development and alignment with best practices.

Influence on Industry Standards:

By working closely with NAPSI, corporate members can offer insight from a larger organisational perspective, helping shape policy, guidelines, and the future direction of the industry.

Auditing & Quality Assurance:

Regular audits ensure each company’s snagging inspectors consistently meet the requirements. This fosters public trust and recognises the high calibre of the inspector workforce. NAPSI will call for reports from randomly selected inspectors from time to time.

Potential Cost Savings:

Corporate membership offers overall savings for businesses employing multiple inspectors, especially compared to the cumulative cost of individual memberships.

Membership Process

Application Submission:

  • Complete Corporate Membership Application Form.

  • Provide proof of professional indemnity insurance.

  • Collate an application form and 2 (two) recent snagging reports per prospective Associate Member.

  • Pay the base membership fee plus the per-employee fee.

NAPSI Review:

  • Verify the company’s professional credentials and compliance with membership requirements.

  • Inspect the submitted snagging reports to confirm inspection standards.

Approval & Onboarding:

  • Once NAPSI confirms that all criteria are met, the corporate entity is granted Corporate Member status.

  • Associated employees become Associate Members during their tenure with the organisation.

  • New inspectors must be registered within 2 months of commencement of their employ. The membership fee is based on a pro-rata rate relating to the company’s membership due date.

  • Company and Associate Members receive access to NAPSI’s resources, events, and member directory listings.

Ongoing Compliance & Audits:

  • Organisations will undergo random checks/audits to ensure standards remain high and any newly employed inspectors also meet NAPSI criteria.

  • Failure to comply could result in sanctions under an agreed protocol.

Annual Fee:

  • £150 base fee for the company, plus

  • £50 for each employee / freelancer.

  • £5 per month for new employee members joining during the year.

By introducing a Corporate Membership tier, NAPSI can extend its industry leadership while offering a pragmatic, cost-effective, and future-oriented membership option for snagging companies. This tier supports the organisation’s core vision of maintaining and promoting high standards across the snagging inspection profession, ensuring that ever-larger pools of inspectors adhere to the same rigorous criteria.

All membership terms and conditions are subject to review.
